You're answering intimate questions. So the site is built so that your answers don't leave your device unless you yourself ask for the full analysis.
What happens to your answers
- All calculations run in your browser. Neither your answers nor your result are sent to any server, ours or anyone else's, unless you ask for the full analysis (see below).
- An unfinished measurement and your result history (date, score, the three components and the id of the widest area) are stored in your browser's storage (
localStorage) on this device. This lets you finish a measurement after closing the tab and see what changed at the next one. - At most the last 24 results are kept. Individual answers are deleted once a measurement is complete.
- The Delete my data from this device button in the footer removes all of the above. Clearing site data in your browser settings does the same.
What happens when you ask for the full analysis
The full analysis is provided by our partner site MyFullReport.com (Carrabela s.r.o.). When you click "Get your full analysis on MyFullReport":
- Your calculated values (the score, the three components, the "I need / I have" values for the six areas, duration, direction and your answer about a life event) are sent to LonelyMeter's own server function. It wraps them in an encrypted code,
MFR1.lonely-…, and forgets them immediately; it stores and logs nothing. - The code is handed to MyFullReport in a new tab. MyFullReport builds the preview from it and, after payment, the full analysis. MyFullReport receives only these values: not your individual answers to the questions, not your name, not your email (you enter that at payment, directly with them).
- Payment is processed by MyFullReport and its payment provider, which is not told what kind of test the analysis is for. The terms and privacy notice for the analysis and payment are at myfullreport.com.
Until you click that button, none of these values leave LonelyMeter.
What is shared when you share
A shared link looks like lonelymeter.com/#v=37. It carries only the number. The downloadable image contains the number and the band. None of this passes through our server; the part after # is never sent to a server by your browser.
What the site loads
- Fonts, styles, script and images are hosted directly on lonelymeter.com. The site makes no connection to Google Fonts or any other third party. The only outgoing connection is the one described above, and only on your instruction.
- The site sets no cookies. That's why there's no cookie banner.
- Visitor analytics: none at present. If we switch it on, it will be a cookie-free tool that doesn't identify individuals (for example Plausible or Umami), it will measure only progress through the steps (start → step → result → share), never the content of your answers, and this paragraph will change before that happens.
Server logs
Like every server, the hosting the site runs on keeps short-lived technical records of requests (IP address, time, file requested). They contain no answers or results and we don't link them with anything else.
Who runs the site
LonelyMeter is run by Lebwerte, a non-profit association registered in the Czech Republic (lebwerte.com), registration number and address: [to be added]. The measurement is free and the association earns nothing from it. The full analysis is sold, and payment processed, by Carrabela s.r.o. through MyFullReport.com; LonelyMeter is not the seller of the analysis. Contact: hello@lonelymeter.com.
